Veil and Shine

The second the sun comes out I'm putting on my floatiest see-through dress and parading down the street bare foot - You can take a girl out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of me.......
But for now my wardrobe seems to be regressing. While I love a sparkle and some shine - it's a bit festive! I can't help it the weather is confusing my body and my general attire. I feel like a bird who flew south but still ended up in the Arctic.

I don't normally like to bring attention to my lips but the shiny materials I'm wearing just called for it.

Today I'm Wearing:
Bobble Hat - DIY Veil see here
Cream chiffon shirt - H&M
Sparkle purple knit - H&M
Sparkle Tube Skity - Topshop (but exactly the same one found in Primark)
Platform - Jeffrey Campbell

DIY Veil Beanie

Ever I since I saw Bryan Boy wear the veil beanie on ANTM I have been obsessed! It's a mega celeb/blogger favourite and being a mental band wagon jumper albeit rather tardy - here's how I updated my bobble hat.

All you need to do is cut about 50-70cm of veiling (depending on how big your head is...) and sew into place. This is literally the simplest 10 second bit of customizing I've ever done and it's completely updated my hat. I got the veil netting from eBay - here's the link.
P.S. Those are not my real eyes.

Sister Sister

I hate to show my mushy side but the past 6 months I've become a a big ball of emotion. I make myself sick. I'm meant to be from Yorkshire - fearless, rough and as hard as nails.... Well not really. But more to the point: my sister is one of my favourite people Ever. Like. Everrrrr. So I decided to dedicate a blog post to her in the style of one of my favourite blogs How Two Live. We don't really have the same style and I'm not even sure she likes having pictures taken but being the amazing person she is, my sister let me drag her outside (and in heels!) on a cold Sunday afternoon to take a few snaps. What a Super Duper Star.
Today I'm wearing:
fur hat - vintage
Gold glittery socks - Primark
Sandals - Dorothy Perkins

Bobo wears:
hat - Primark mens
Jeans - H&M mens
boots - Jeffrey Campbell

Our sister Pandora bracelets -  Bobo's hand is below mine and she made a bangle from a fork! Its engraved with Fong and mine's still in the making...

DIY Tie-Dye Tee

My creative, considerate, crazy smart sister made me an awesome tee for Christmas this year and I wore it an alarming number of times before I washed it - tragically I managed to wreck it by washing the tee with a pair of new jeans...
In a desperate attempt to gain back my treasured item, we spent an evening trying to repeat the process - I got a ton of compliments about the top and She inspired me to lug my heavy camera across the country to document the whole thing. So here's how to make a tie-dye tee.
The necklaces I'm wearing are from Dorothy Perkins in the sale - they both cost £1-2 each, amazing

Note - if you want the colours to appear more vivid, leave the dye in longer and make up a stronger concentration of dye. I used Dylon Flamingo pinkSunflower Yellow and Intense Violet fabric dye. Each packet could dye several items so its worth dying several things to avoid waste.
