#WIW 2014

I hope everyone had an insane New Year and Christmas!

Here's a mini round up of some outfits of 2014.

Greatness and Fakeness

YES. That would be me perching on the Great Wall of China. My first time in Beijing and it is freaking awesome in every way possible. 

The first night we sweated down Wangfujing, sliding (it was that sweaty) shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of people. The air was thick with stink and all the street food was served on a stick. Starfish, flying lizards, scorpions, squid, quails, crabs, tripe, snakes and spiders all served on a stick. It was an inward battle for 2 days but I've decided you should see the vid of me eating my first scorpian! I'm dribbling with sweat, no make-up and mega jet lagged, so please no judging....!

 

You'll know the counterfeiting here is insane and scary cheap so I've taken full advantage. Below my haul so far! A Tory Burch make up bag and some "corss my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye" House of Holland sunglasses (originals here) have been the best bits.

Always be a Unicorn

When I was at school there were two types of girls. The Horsey Girls and the Non-Horsey lot. I was the latter and proud of it. Frankly I just thought it was a little bit cringe to gallop around the playground grunting   and kicking my hind legs around. Now I'm older, I see the magic!! Unicorns! They're beautiful and horses are the nearest I'm ever going to get to unicorns. Ergo, I like horses...

I've facebooked and Instagrammed my new vest a few times already and the reaction hasn't been positive - I've even heard open sniggering about it when I'm walking down the street but I don't care because I LOVE MY ROMWE VEST. It's got studs, bleached denim, unicorns and pink feathers...what's not to love?!

Till Hell Freezes Over

I've just booked my holiday for hot North Africa for later on this year and decided I was ready for sunshine and summer dresses. Then I woke up to this... :( Bent on wearing heels and summery clothes anyway I've layered up and added my wool hat. I will not let the weather beat me today!

Holiday Haul

A big reason for being massively absent in August was that I spent a good chunk of three weeks holidaying in Florida. It was the best - all you can eat full fat, fully greasy, feeling full food; soft American accents; the sun; Disney; and of course, the shopping. I'd already made a shopping list and saved for items of brands which I knew would be cheaper in the States but that rapidly went out the window when I came face to face with thrift stores and flea markets - something I could have never anticipated.

Here's the fashion haul vid of some of my favourite things I picked up out there. I spent less than $200 overall in three weeks and came back with at least 7-10kg more!
